AppLovin’s Continued Support of COVID-19 Efforts

We’ve all seen how COVID-19 has permeated our communities and we’ve all adapted to a new norm and daily life. But what we likely don’t see are the numerous healthcare workers risking their lives to care for those impacted by COVID-19. Many of these workers don’t have the personal protective equipment (PPE) needed to minimize their risk of contracting the virus while caring for those that are unable to do so for themselves. With such a high influx in the number of patients coming to hospitals and the extremely contagious nature of COVID-19, doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers are in need of more PPE supplies to keep them safe while providing care.

In early February, AppLovin Cares donated masks, goggles and other PPE to our customer Hubei located in the epicenter of the COVID-19 breakout in Wuhan, CN via the Hubei Charity Association. And now that this virus has continued to reach far and wide, AppLovin Cares continued to remain committed to helping our communities by donating 15,000 masks to various hospitals spanning North America — from Toronto, to New York, to Georgia and the Bay Area. When our CMO, Katie Jansen went to drop off some of these masks to Summit Hospital in Oakland, CA, she learned healthcare workers had been using one mask for 2-3 days in a row, and doing their best to protect themselves while being there for patients and maintaining their own safety.

AppLovin Cares has chosen to donate to healthcare facilities where there are direct ties to our employees, often with loved ones working at these locations. As this virus has taken a serious toll on our healthcare systems, this is where we as individuals can step in and help out where we can. Additionally, our partner studios have been helping local efforts across the globe.
